About us/What we believe

The pursuit of a faith that is living, active and genuine is of greatest importance to our community.  The following core values clarify what this pursuit should look like in our daily lives.

FATHER
Psalm 121:1-2   I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth

Worship

We live lives of worship through experiencing great times of worship.

Psalm 84:1-2    How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty!   My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Transformation

We embrace the lifelong quest of becoming more Christ-like

2 Corinthians 3:17-18   Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.   And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

FAMILY
Ephesians 2:19-22  Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household,  built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.  In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.   And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Love One Another  (Relationships)

Our unity as a church is built through one another relationships that are rooted in love

1 Peter 1:22-23 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Serve One Another (Community)

Our community is built through our service within the church..

Ephesians 4:11-13  It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

FRIENDS
Matthew 5:14-16  "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Outreach

It is through our deep love for God and our knowledge of His truth that it becomes our desire is to seek and save the lost.

Matthew 28:18-20  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [19]Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20]and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Benevolence

It is through our understanding of God’s love for us that we also help those in need.

Proverbs 21:13  If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.
